Hi all. Sorry for the long days between posts. It seems that as spring arrives and there is more to post about, there is also a lot more to do in the yard. With all the wonderful rain in the last month, I'm afraid my garden has turned into a weedy extravaganza. Fighting through the weeds finds some very tasty lettuce, spinach, red beets, onions, radishes, summer squash,. and zuchinni ready to pick. The rewards of gardening are evident on the dinner table each night. As the summer progresses, I'm looking forward to harvesting many more tasty treats. The cucumbers are looking good, but are still not ready to pick yet. Maybe in a few weeks. They're a family favorite here.
Other than the vegetable garden, the blackberries and plums are ready too! It's a good thing because between the insects, the poison ivy, the weeds and the mowing, going outside these days isn't as appealing as it could be. Grumbling aside, things are looking great here and we are enjoying both the weather and the gardening. I hope you are enjoying your springtime days!
